Ice Cream, Ice Cream, John was screaming for ice cream last Saturday afternoon. Actually, it was my method of getting John to shut down the computer that his eyes and hands had been chained to all day.
It was Saturday afterall. A day of freedom. Work was done and the weather was beckoning us to go outside and have fun. John and I occasionally go on adventures that include bringing along a camera to record interesting things. As we walked towards downtown, I spotted IceBom, a local ice cream store. The store concept is quite simple and very popular. The company is a local company that produces great ice cream for distribution through grocery stores and ice cream parlors such as this one located five minutes from our home.
I figured, "What a natural way to get John on film. No special acting required. Just a hunger, a natural hunger for ice cream." So I turned on the camera and pushed the start button. He's a natural actor as any kid would be set in front of frozen goodness with tons of options for decorating it and further enhancing one's palate.
